In the second period, Logan Mehl scored just 1:11 in to put Regina up 2-0 before the captain added his second goal of the period near the end of the frame to put the Pat C’s up 3-0 through 40 minutes.

With eight minutes left in the third, the Flyers got on the board as Alexandre Caissie scored before Nathan Weber cut the lead to 3-2 with just over two minutes left.

However, Pat Canadians goalie Taylor Tabashniuk, who made 24 saves in the win, shut the door from there to preserve the victory for Regina, while the Flyers dropped to 0-2.

After scoring a hat trick in the opening game, Maddox Schultz had two assists on Tuesday while Chase Surkan also had two assists. Johan Sivertson and Nathan Gardiner also chipped in with primary assists.
