Hyderabad: The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition challenging Government Order (G.O.) 29 issued by the Telangana government, clearing the way for Group 1 appointments.

The petition was filed by aspirants of Group 1 services, who contested the amendment related to reservations for persons with disabilities. On February 8, the Telangana government had issued G.O. 29, modifying certain provisions through G.O. No. 55.

With the dismissal of the plea, the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) can now proceed with the recruitment process. The Commission has already released the general ranking list and is set to begin certificate verification in a 1:2 ratio.
