New 2,750-Piece Lego Harry Potter Set Recreates Diagon Alley

Arguably one of the coolest Harry Potter building sets Lego has released thus far, the expansive and richly detailed recreation of Diagon Alley looks to be quite the treat for big fans of the franchise. The 2,750-piece build can be displayed as a two-sided street (shown above), one row of buildings with Gringotts as the centerpiece, or as five distinct modules.

Harry Potter fans will build many of the best-known shops and businesses found in the books and movies: Gringotts Wizarding Bank, Ollivanders Wand Shop, The Daily Prophet HQ, The Leaky Cauldron, Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor, and Mr. Mulpepper’s Apothecary. Along with authentic exterior designs, the buildings in Diagon Alley have plenty of Easter Eggs for fans to discover while building.

Diagon Alley without witches and wizards would be a sad place, so thankfully this set also comes with 12 Harry Potter Lego microfigures, including:

The Diagon Alley set also comes with the Knight Bus and various accessories for the walkways outside of the shops.

This isn’t the first time Lego has released a Diagon Alley build. A 5,544-piece Diagon Alley set launched as a Lego Store exclusive back in 2020. It remains an exclusive to this day and is actually still available, but it costs $450. The old version has bigger shops but fewer overall buildings. So the new $200 model gives fans a more budget-friendly way to build the famous Wizarding World shopping plaza.

The other new large-scale Harry Potter Lego set is inspired by the Deathly Hallows. The 1,601-piece set brings the dreary Malfoy Manor to the world of Lego for the first time. You can choose to display it with the exterior showing (like above), but if you turn it around, you’ll get to look at all of the rooms and furnishings in Malfoy Manor.

Malfoy Manor also comes with nine Lego minifigures and one Lego animal figure (Voldemort’s snake Nagini):

Also inspired by the Deathly Hallows is this Lego recreation of Hagrid’s and Harry’s Motorcycle Ride. The 617-piece set includes buildable versions. of Harry and Hagrid, both of which have posable arms, along with Hagrid’s motorbike and sidecar. You also get to build a small version of Hedwig with a rotating head and wings. Once completed this set stands over 6.5 inches tall.

Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons is 651 pieces and includes six minifigures: Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom, Draco Malfoy, Professor McGonagall, Madam Hooch, and Oliver Wood. Once fully assembled you’ll get a fun playset with a foldout building that gives you a Quidditch equipment room, Transfiguration classroom, office, and a few other places for your minifigures to hang out.

Relive the iconic scene between Harry and Draco with the new Hogwarts Castle: Dueling Club set. It’s a small-scale set at 158 pieces, but it does include four minifigures: Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, Gilderoy Lockhart, and Severus Snape. There’s even a cool interactive component that lets you topple a minifigure by pressing the steps leading up to the dueling arena.

Head to Charms Class with this 204-piece Lego set. It includes minifigures for Ron Weasley, Hermoine Granger, and Professor Flitwick, and offers a fun Wingardium Leviosa feather-levitation function. Rounding out the set is 1 of 14 collectible Hogwarts portraits and the ability to snap together with other modular Lego Harry Potter sets to expand Hogwarts Castle.
