The product has been issued an FSA recall
Lidl has issued a “do not eat” warning after a product has been recalled due to a possible risk of salmonella contamination.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issues product recalls when there could be risks to peoples health such as manufacturing faults, missing allergen information or contamination with pathogens such as listeria and salmonella.
Discount supermarket giant Lidl is recalling all batches of Sol & Mar Chicharricos BBQ Pork Scratchings (100g) because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.
Salmonella is a type of bacteria that can cause food poisoning if consumed which can lead to fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
Customers who have purchased the BBQ Pork Scratchings have been advised “do not eat it”.
Shoppers can return the product to their local Lidl store for a full refund.
The warning is affecting all batches of the BBQ Pork Scratchings with the following Best Before Dates: 05 August 2025, 06 August 2025, 07 August 2025, 08 August 2025, 09 August 2025, 10 August 2025, 11 August 2025, 12 August 2025.
