Jacob Elordi Debuts New Wuthering Heights-Inspired Mutton Chops and the Internet Is in Rapture

Jacob Elordi has left the internet swooning!
The actor, 27, debuted dramatic sideburns at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival on Saturday, Feb. 15 while promoting his upcoming Australian Prime Video series The Narrow Road to the Deep North.
Elordi kept his look simple at the event, wearing a gray sweater layered over a white shirt and black slacks with a black belt. He also wore a stylish pair of black Tabi loafers that featured a brown strap.
Along with his fashionable ensemble, the actor made a few bold grooming choices. He wore his hair in messy curls styled to frame his face and rocked a pair of classic mutton chops with an otherwise clean-shaven appearance.

Social media went abuzz with comments about his new look. “Jacob Elordi at Berlin with the sideburns is really working for me, I can’t lie,” wrote one honest fan. Another drew attention to his upcoming role in Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of the romantic period drama Wuthering Heights, writing, “Jacob Elordi with his Heathcliff Wuthering Heights sideburns oooooohh that should be ME! I NEED TO LOOK LIKE HIM.”
A third made the same connection, asking, “Is this his Heathcliff haircut cuz i’m kinda feeling it….”
Now, this isn’t Elordi’s first time experimenting with facial hair. The Priscilla actor embraced a full-scruff look at the Marrakech Film Festival in November 2024, which saw him debuting his brand new look, along with a longer hairstyle, at the festival’s opening ceremony.

The Narrow Road to the Deep North is based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Richard Flanagan and also stars Odessa Young, Ciarán Hinds and Olivia DeJonge. Adapted by writer Shaun Grant and directed by Justin Kurzel, the five-part drama will see Elordi as Lieutenant-Colonel Dorrigo Evans, a man who has a love affair that ultimately shapes his life.
Set during World War II, the story unfolds over multiple time periods as it documents Evans’ childhood and his later experiences as a surgeon and Australian war hero. The series, according to the synopsis, “is a love story to sustain audiences through the darkest of times, an intimate character study illustrating the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity, and an investigation into a marriage and an unforgettable love affair.”
