Poilievre says Canada can help Europe

“We’re in a crisis. We need to respond with crushing force. Yes, we need to cut taxes and bureaucracy, but the government needs to act in a crisis,” the Liberal leader said. He’s often noted he has experience managing crises.

Poilievre said the Liberals, while being advised by Carney, weakened the economy. His plan, instead, would “break Europe’s dependence on Putin,” he said, referring to the Russian president. Europe buys much of its oil from Russia.

“Ah,” Roy said, noting he’d be coming back to that.
