TIRUPATI: Senior YSR Congress (YSRC) leader and former TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy has denied the allegations against former YSRC minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, calling them baseless and politically motivated.

Addressing the media on Thursday, Bhumana condemned reports claiming that Peddireddy had illegally encroached upon forest land in Mangalampeta village, Chittoor district. He dismissed the allegations as part of a concerted effort by the ruling NDA and a section of the media to tarnish Peddireddy’s reputation and that of his family.

Bhumana expressed confidence that regardless of any inquiry conducted by the government, Peddireddy would emerge unscathed, describing him as “pure as a washed pearl.” He accused Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu of orchestrating these smear campaigns to destabilize the YSRC.

Further, he criticised the ruling alliance for targeting YSRC leaders instead of addressing pressing governance issues. He alleged that the government’s failures were being obscured by diversionary tactics, shifting blame onto the previous administration. He reaffirmed that the YSRC remains committed to truth and justice.

“No matter the challenges or false narratives directed at us, we will continue to stand firm against this oppressive government,” he said. He asserted that Peddireddy would be vindicated in any investigation and emphasized that such politically motivated attacks would not shake the resolve of the YSRC leadership or its supporters.
